Information Collection and Use

Information collected by the scan

If you choose to download and activate our scanner, we will scan your computer. During the course of the scan we will gather non-personally identifiable computer processing information and activity from your computer. This information includes among other items: your type of operating system, IP address, signature and version of process files, system configuration and browser configuration. The information gathered from individual scans will be saved and also aggregated with all other scans and statistically analyzed. The result of the analysis is that we are able to compare the individual scans to the aggregated data which helps improve the quality of individual scans.

In addition to the above information the hard drive serial number specific to the computer being scanned is captured for the purpose of comparing information from previous scans.

Data from the individual scans will not be shared outside of our company. The aggregated data may be shared outside of our company. If you do not want this program to gather information from your computer do not run the scan.
